HOLD YOUR TONGUE!!!!

Oops!!! Holding tongue is a damn crazy, absolutely weird and wild idea, but I really mean it when I say so. Tongue; a delicate organ of our body never feels fatigue; keeps pouring words off and on, whether asked to do so or not…. Its ever ready. Has it ever pondered upon what does it say? Or thinking perhaps is not its cup of tea. Who then has to take charge of the thinking business… Perhaps the supreme power in the body- the mighty BRAIN. But does it do its job fruitfully on many occasions… I have no clues.
Have we ever waited to contemplate and realise that words have life and also has the power to ruin  lives. They as spear can pierce  someone inside out giving them deep wounds and letting the soul bleed profusely…. Ironically the stains are not visible. The damage is catastrophic. Every inch of dignity gets ruined and left over is nothing but remains of respect worn and torn out.
Amazing!!! Realization is yet nullified.
Human beings; a social animal, brainy, supremely talented doesn’t ever bother being judgemental no matter what consequences it would bring in to others lives…. How  easily it switches to a  GOSSIP MODE to discuss someone’s else’s life… prepare a gossip gang,  which has nothing to do except cooking stories about others and adding spices to it. They are sly; like termites make every relation hollow, be it at workstation or at home. They are always proactive in searching issues to discuss.
Shouldn’t they invest their time in doing something concrete so that they can be an asset to others. It is easy to spread rumours, but difficult to understand that rumours spread faster than fire. It can bring disaster. History ask you to peep in and see the devastation caused to nations due to rumours and manipulations.
Why can’t we mind our own business? Why can’t we resist ourselves from the tempt of interfering in private matters of others. Why do we find comfort in unwanted time-consuming discussions? Why can’t we polish our skills and shine? We must understand that rumours about others not only defame them, but also take away their peace of mind. There is no good way to fight them. They are nowhere, and everywhere.
Its high time when we should look around and find out the GOSSIP GEESE around us. Try keeping a distance or walk away. Else practice holding your tongue because even a light nod in the conversation results your participation in the gossip. Invest your time in reading good literature or being in the company of someone who can hold your hand and take you on the right path of life.
Undoubtedly, it would be difficult quitting the addiction of gossip initially,  but practice makes a man perfect.
So, HOLD YOUR TONGUE and think before you cross your boundaries to intervene in others affairs because you are brutally stabbing the dagger in one’s back and that’s not at all HUMANE.
